Cyclamen will bloom continually throughout the cool season if located in an outdoor area. There are primarily three sizes of Cyclamen produced; Mini's which are the smallest flowered Cyclamen, Intermediate which is a little larger than the mini's, then Standard's which are the largest flower size.

Feature Flower of the Month
Protea
Protea sp.

Proteas come in a wide selection of colors, sizes and shapes. The unusual flowers are named after Proteus, the Greek sea god who had the power of prophecy and could assume various shapes. The flowers' name, therefore, refers to the flower heads' varied forms.
The large heads of some proteas make dramatic focal points when used in arrangements. Protea's diversity of shape and texture provide unique visual interest in contemporary design.
Strip leaves if you find its odor unpleasant. Cold sensitive. Do not store below 50 F. It is important to change water and flower food solution every 2 days to avoid leaf blackening. With proper care the flower can last more than 2 weeks.
